The Russia Ukraine crisis has drawn the attention of various world economies; the US, France, Germany and other nations have expressed their concerns over the crisis. Some have even proposed to have Russia expelled from G8.
One country that has in a way caught the attention of The Campus Post is Somalia which has aired its concerns over the situation.
Through its foreign affairs Ministry, the Somalia Government has voiced its concerns and at the same time called for fast negotiations of a deal before matters get out of hand.
“The Federal Government of Somalia is concerned of the deteriorating situation in Ukraine, which we are monitoring closely and we urge all sides to sit together and work solution that can bring peace and stability in Ukraine.” read the statement.
Somalia is so far considered the unsafest country in the world due to the presence of Al-Qaeda backed Al-Shabaab which has been battling the African Union supported government.
